Preppy

I didn't waste any time styling these wedges once they came in the post (as I like to call the US Mail these days, thanks to downton abbey). The trench makes just about anything look chic. Don't ya think? Throw on some chevron and a silk scarf and things are lookin downright preppy around here. Pardon me, I'll be at the yacht club this afternoon.

If you've been following this blog for any length of time, you are likely aware of Patrick and my meager but enthusiastic gardening endeavors. Well. We planted somewhere circa 40 flowers in our yard this weekend. Of course with a highly efficient method and nothing but the keenest focus. One key point slipped our notice, the forecast of a cold day to come. As it were, Monday turned out to be a pretty cold day, 32 degrees-ish. So... being the masters of the plant that we are, we ensured that each and every flower was covered from the elements. Our yard looked positively ridiculous with pink polka dotted towels & taupe duvet covers spotted about. But alas, the flowers survived!
