I'm quickly turning into a prep-aholic. Seersucker shorts, silk scarves, and Chanel-inspired cap-toed shoes. Pretty sure part of me believes I'm on my way to boarding school. Or vacation in the Hamptons.
Happy 4th of July yesterday! Did you have a blast? Ok this is ridiculously wrong on all levels but we did not see a single work of fire on this blessed day! Come on... I tell you we missed OUT. Due to excessive heat and lack of rain, the local officials decided to postpone the works of fire in case real fires started up. So hopefully we will catch them later this week. Ahh you guys, I am enjoying this vacation week tremendously. We pontooned it up yesterday. Overall, we spent about 75% of our day outdoors (101 degree heat, mind you, and sauna-type humidity) and 73.5% of our day wet via the pool/lake. It's the only way to survive, I really believe it. Unfortunately the sun found a few spots of skin that somehow missed my thorough, every-2-hours-SPF-45-sunscreen-application regimen. So aloe is my best friend, and tomorrow, the air conditioning inside will be.

Oh my goodness Lindsey this is seriously one of my favorite looks of yours yet! I was honestly starting to get really sick of peplum because I just thought it was way too trendy this year, but you made it look so classic 1960s. I love it with the striped shorts, and the adorable neck scarf, which is so Audrey Hepburn or Jackie O! The hair completes the look so perfectly too!

I didn't catch any fireworks last night, I was sound asleep because I had to open today. BUT my town does fireworks a week from Sunday for our town festival so hopefully I'll catch those.
